Immediately, Max Motors took its role as an essential business seriously and rose to meet new challenges. It swiftly developed an innovative approach to customer service that promoted social distancing and safety measures while continuing to meet customers’ highest expectations. In March 2020, Max Motors launched Max Transit Pick Up and Delivery, a program in which customers could purchase a new or pre-owned vehicle from the comfort and safety of their home. A Max Motors professional team member provided delivery of the vehicle to any location, free of charge. The Pick Up and Delivery system was also available for vehicle servicing. In April 2020, Max Motors began offering free oil changes to First Responders, Medical Professionals, and all essential workers. The company has proudly provided over $60,000 worth of oil change services at Max Motors Dealerships.

Out of an abundance of caution, We closed the dealership location down for 48 hours to complete sanitization of every department. We also sent all employees for testing. We didn’t have any positive cases. No one tested positive and all were approved to return to work. We are committed to doing everything we can to make your Max Motors Dealerships experience as safe as possible. Therefore, we’ve decided to implement even higher standards of cleanliness and health safety in our stores.
Just like you, we are closely monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 (Commonly known as the Coronavirus). The health and safety of our employees, customers, and our community are of the utmost importance.
We are committed to doing everything we can to make your Max Motors Dealerships experience as safe as possible. Therefore, we’ve decided to implement even higher standards of cleanliness and health safety in our stores.
Taking Action
We have implemented several new policies and procedures, which follow recommendations from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention; take steps to protect yourself, protect others, and clean and disinfect (https://www.cdc.gov/).
- All Max Motors Dealerships employees are prohibited from reporting to work with a respiratory illness that can be transmitted to others. We are encouraging our employees to stay home if they become ill and allowing them additional benefits that include: Employees jobs will be preserved and financial assistance towards any rent or mortgage payment if tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus). Details of this program are being currently made available to employees.
- We are sanitizing high-traffic public areas and vehicles at an increased frequency.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Hand sanitizers are being installed throughout the public and back of dealership locations.
- Sanitizers will be refilled and checked regularly.
- Public touchpoints, such as handrails, receptionist areas, tables, phones, door handles, and waiting areas are being cleaned multiple times throughout the day.
- Vehicles are being sanitized after each test driving and before any service or body shop delivery. All employees in all departments are being encouraged to wash hands or use sanitizing procedures multiple times during their employee shift.
- We strongly encourage our fellow business owners and community leaders in the neighboring areas to begin implementing new similar policies and procedures sooner rather than later. Only by coming together as a community can we mitigate the risk that COVID-19 poses to community.

Max Motors Dealerships in Belton, Harrisonville, Butler, and Nevada are providing complementary oil change services to first responders, medical professionals, and “all essential workers” in an effort to support all front line and those who are putting their lives on the line every day to combat COVID-19.
In order to provide essential automotive services as defined by the Kansas City Department of Public Health’s “2019 Novel Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) Stay at Home Order” while meeting social distancing requirements, Max Motors launched Max Transit on March 14, 2020. Max Transit is a pick-up and delivery service for automotive servicing and online purchasing, leasing, or subscribing to a new or pre-owned vehicle. How does the Stay at Home Order affect the Max Motors Dealerships?
On March 21, 2020, the Kansas City Department of Public Health issued its “2019 Novel Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) Stay at Home Order, “ which is in effect from Monday, March 23, 2020, to April 22, 2020. A copy of the Stay at Home Order can be found at this link: https://www.kcmo.gov/Home/Components/News/News/265/625. The purpose of the Stay at Home Order is to ensure that “the maximum number of people remain in their places of residence to the maximum extent feasible, while enabling essential services to continue, to slow the spread of COVID-19 with Kansas City and surrounding areas.” The Order states that, “auto-supply, auto-repair, and related facilities” are “Essential Businesses.” The Order also states that “Essential Products and Services means products and services that are necessary” for “Essential Travel and Essential Businesses.” Cars are products necessary for essential travel. The Order “strongly” encourages all Essential Businesses to remain open and requires them to comply with “Social Distancing Requirements.” Social distancing requirements include maintaining at lease six (6) foot distancing from other individuals.
Although the Stay at Home Order does not apply to Max Motors Dealerships in Belton, Harrisonville, Butler, or Nevada, Missouri, we are also offering the same personized service as described above to minimize person-to person contact. We are also maintaining social distancing requirements as outlined in Governor Parson’s press release on March 21, 2020.
How will the Max Motors Dealerships comply with the Stay at Home Order?
Max Motors Dealerships online sales and service will remain open because we are considered an “Essential Business.” We will continue to accept shipments of new vehicles and parts from the factory, repair vehicles that are currently in service, accept vehicles for service that are in need of immediate repair, and conduct vehicles sales online. We will have staff available during all normally scheduled business hours both online and via telephone to assist you with your vehicle’s needs. We are trying to reduce the number of individuals physically inside the building, so a certain number of employees will work from home and others will work staggered hours. Customers are encouraged to contact us online or by phone so that we can arrange to pick up and deliver their cars so customers do not need to leave their residences with Max Transit. Inside the stores, we will do our best to maintain six (6) feet between all individuals and have hand sanitizers spread throughout the buildings. The health of our team members and customers is our top priority and if it because necessary to close some or all the physical buildings for the wellbeing of our community, we will.

The Order “strongly” encourages all Essential Businesses to remain open and requires them to comply with “Social Distancing Requirements.” Social distancing requirements include maintaining at lease six (6) foot distancing from other individuals.
Although the Stay at Home Order does not apply to Max Motors Dealerships in Belton, Harrisonville, Butler, or Nevada, Missouri, we are also offering the same personized service as described above to minimize person-to person contact. We are also maintaining social distancing requirements as outlined in Governor Parson’s press release on March 21, 2020.
How will the Max Motors Dealerships comply with the Stay at Home Order?
Max Motors Dealerships online sales and service will remain open because we are considered an “Essential Business.” We will continue to accept shipments of new vehicles and parts from the factory, repair vehicles that are currently in service, accept vehicles for service that are in need of immediate repair, and conduct vehicles sales online. We will have staff available during all normally scheduled business hours both online and via telephone to assist you with your vehicle’s needs. We are trying to reduce the number of individuals physically inside the building, so a certain number of employees will work from home and others will work staggered hours. Customers are encouraged to contact us online or by phone so that we can arrange to pick up and deliver their cars so customers do not need to leave their residences with Max Transit. Inside the stores, we will do our best to maintain six (6) feet between all individuals and have hand sanitizers spread throughout the buildings. The health of our team members and customers is our top priority and if it because necessary to close some or all the physical buildings for the wellbeing of our community, we will.
